Some of my thoughts regarding Avatar 2, the way of water:

  • The story is pretty okay-ish? As a father myself, I sorta get the reasoning behind Jake Sully's decision
  • The length of the film surprisingly doesn't feel to long
  • The special effect is majestic (the most obvious one, duh)
  • I really love the mechanical design! The crab mecha, the hovering ship, the submarine cockpit, everything!

These things about the movie being said, another thing that I can't stop thinking is this: do you know how it feels when you have this idea and you keep thinking about it? Like if you are software developer and you have this idea about an app, or web service, or sass idea, and you keep thinking about it because you think it is a great idea? I kinda wonder what's on James Cameron mind. First he got an idea of the first Avatar; and for the next 15 years, he has Avatar 2 in mind until it is finally get worked on and processed. Imagine having itch in your mind as big as Avatar's world building. That is pretty intense.
