The Uniqlo Baseline
Uniqlo really hits the sweet spot of comfort, durability, looks and price point (the last part might be debatable but assuming you're comparing the price point with the other three factor, i found it hard to get find another alternative option). For the past couple of years I've been in dad bod shape and it is quite hard to look for clothes that really comfortable, especially jeans, but Uniqlo' stretch jeans saves the day. The same goes to its shirts, t-shirts, and jackets. It feels like they are designed for regular asian people with normal to varied body shape, not limited to person with ideal body shape.
Fast forward now, I think I've been too comforted with Uniqlo as my option it becomes the baseline: when picking clothes from other brand, i found myself thinking:
is this better than Uniqlo? Perhaps in some of its quality? If not, I guess better just pick up Uniqlo's alternative to this
I guess when you are really good at some thing consistently for years, you become people's baseline and comfort zone.
