Trained Muscles

There’s this epiphany that i realize while working out at the gym: unlike the previous attempts to working out regularly over the years (in which I hired personal trainer as well), this time I can feel the muscle that is being trained get awfully sore after it is being trained (right after it, can’t move it for a day or two, then get accustomed to it) then it gets somehow more resistant at the next session. I think that’s how the muscle gets stronger (?). You gotta put reasonable amount of pain / challenge to it so that it can grow stronger.

You always have an option not to train but then it’ll work the way it is. However it seems like over the years it’ll get too comfy and ultimately gets weaker and weaker because that’s just how things are without continuous challenge.

I later feels like maybe that trained muscle situation applied to anything else:

  • Your brain maybe needs continuous training so it can grow and gets stronger
  • Your emotion maybe needs continuous training so it can grow and gets stronger
  • Even your spiritual aspect of life needs continuous training so it can grow and gets stronger

You need training. Challenge. Reasonable amount of pressure to get them grow.

You can neglect it and just simply go as you are, but without necessary pain / challenge there’s no logical way it’ll get train to be stronger.
